Build a Wooden Train at Lowe's - FREE

Lowe's offers Build and Grow clinic's several times throughout the year and December's project is one not to be missed!  Kid's build a wooden train starting with the caboose December 4, passenger car December 11 and the engine December 18, all at 10:00 am at your local store (check locations here).  The clinic's are recommended for kid's aged 5+ but my three year old has done several of them (with a little help from mom & dad) and loved it. 

The best news if you can't make it all 3 weeks, you can now order the kits online and build your own at home (this, however, is not free).

If you have ever googled "photo website" you know that there are a lot of choices available to you and it is hard to know where to start.  Shutterfly is my favorite photo site for several reasons.  As you may have guessed by now, I am a price driven shopper.  The prices are comprable to other sites that are no match for Shutterfly's quality.  It is outstanding.  Every product I have ordered from there has always been printed in high quality, true to life colors and matches the online representation of the item perfectly. 

Now that the holiday season is here and it is time to order your photo cards, do not forget to check out Shutterfly's holiday cards, you won't be disappointed!  They have a huge selection of cards to choose from that you are sure to find something you love.  Keep in mind that even a cadid photo taken by an amateur can be given an artistic edge by simply tinting the photo to match your card with Shutterfly's online editing photo tools like this example:

Another of my favorite things about Shutterfly is the photo sharing sites, they are free to use, easy to manage, and even easier to build; as an added bonus you can usually get free prints just for signing up (the promo right now is 30 free prints).  I have created sites for a couple of my children's sports teams and a family photo sharing site with great results.

Freebies

Do you have kids that like getting mail or are you interested in getting free samples and coupons in the mail yourself?  Companies are constantly offering a free sample of their products in exchange for your name and address, you just have to know where to look.  If you are wondering, yes I have ordered several of these and have not noticed a significant increase in junk mail.

I tend to save my free samples for when I travel, then I already have on hand travel sizes of shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothpaste and more that are safely in travel safe containers.  One of my favorites is a free sample of Tide so the next time we travel I can come home with clean clothes and don't have to worry about laundry soap spilling all over my suitcase.  Unpacking is so much easier when you don't have to wash everything before you can put it away!

Have you heard of Swagbucks?  It is a search engine that randomly rewards users with Swagbucks for using their search engine.  In turn Swagbucks can than be exchanged for prizes, like an Amazon or Starbucks gift card, sweepstakes entires or other prizes.  You can also earn Swagbucks for completing online surveys, answering poll questions, refering new users, using their links for shopping and simply watching videos. 

I downloaded the toolar and have used Swagbucks as my search engine for only a few short weeks and have already earned two $5 Amazon gift cards and am halfway to a third.  Here is my referal link, which yes, will help me earn that Amazon gift card and get you closer to your own prizes and rewards.

Rainbow Double Coupon Day - Have you tried it yet?

Wednesday and Saturday are typically double coupons days at Rainbow, where the deals on groceries abound!  How it works is if your total is $25.00 or more (note - currently the $25 is calculated on FULL RETAIL price of the items you are buying, not the sale price or price after coupon) then Rainbow will double up to 5 manufacturer coupons of $1.00 or less.  Today I used all printable coupons which means anyone with a computer and printer can do the same.  If you are going to download coupons I highly recommend setting up a "junk" email account to use so your regular account is not full of spam because many companies require contact information before you get their coupons.  It needs to be a real account you can access because occasionally they will have you verify your email address before you get the coupons.

Today I managed to get my groceries for just over $9 and received $7 in discounts for my next shopping order making my total today just over $2, yup only $2 for all of this:

Walmart Clothing Clearance
